Making A Claim Against Your Policy

As with all insurances, it’s important to follow the claims procedure outlined within the policy Terms & Conditions issued to you at the time of purchasing the policy. Car2cover.co.uk does not handle or process claims. All claims are handled by your insurer’s dedicated claims teams.

Gap Insurance Claims

If we arranged a Gap Insurance policy for you and you need to make a claim – please follow the claims procedure outlined within your policy terms & conditions by contacting the claims team directly.

Tyre Insurance Claims

If we arranged a Tyre Insurance policy for you and you need to make a claim – please follow the claims procedure outlined within your policy terms & conditions by contacting the claims team directly before going ahead with any replacement or repair to the damaged tyre.

For urgent ‘Out of Hours’ claims, please refer to that section of your policy terms and conditions and note Important Information below.

Important information for Tyre Insurance claims

Occasionally, you may require emergency assistance out of hours and will be unable to contact the Claims Administrator to obtain a claim authority number. Under these circumstances, you will need to settle the tyre retailers invoice and claim reimbursement from the Claims Administrator. You must call the Claims Administrator and leave a message confirming your intent to make a claim on the policy and request that the retailer retains the Damaged Tyre(s) to allow inspection by an independent engineer should this be necessary. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Damaged Tyre(s) are available for inspection and failure to do so may invalidate your claim.
